Apartments are absolutely the norm in most metro cities today. There are still numerous buyers who desire to invest in plots in the capital city.
Investing in plotted developments exposed that almost 30 per cent of the respondents wanted to buy a residential plot in the suburbs of Delhi-NCR. Although resemblance for flats has taken most of the Indian cities where there is a lot who enjoys fancy living in their own independent houses. Plots are well thought-out as a long term investment.
There are fundamentally two types of buyers – one who is a pure investor & the other is who wants to own a custom made house. Now days, there are many people who wants to design their own house as per their necessities and the plots are the only option. Besides this, plots present greater liquidity over apartments. Investors prefer to invest in Delhi NCR as it is easier to find a buyer to re-sell the property.
Huge demand for plots has launched plotted expansion projects in Delhi NCR which include Imperial County by HDIL, a joint venture with Conclave Group, New Delhi, present 100 acre fully integrated township at the most happening location of Delhi/NCR-, Jaypee’s Green Homes in Noida, and Aranya.
More than 55 per cent of the respondents were first time investors and choose plots over apartments. Therefore apartments are here to stay; plotted developments still catch the attention of buyers in the capital city.
